ІNSO-Lviv (International Symphony Orchestra) was founded in 1998. INSO-Lviv is a bearer and promoter of the idea of peace, in its projects the orchestra fulfils the key mission of cultural diplomacy due to the uniting power of music. Recognition of INSO-Lviv high professional level is proved by the fact it is invited to serve as orchestra-in-residence at international festivals and competitions. Namely, in August 2017 INSO-Lviv took part in the first “LvivMozArt” International Classical Music Festival, and in September of the same year – in the 24th Johannes Brahms International Competition in Poertschach (Austria). INSO-Lviv is a bright palette of emotions which the musicians share generously with the audience while implementing its artistic and educational mission, as well as the one of cultural diplomacy. The orchestra Artistic Director is the People’s Artist of Ukraine, laureate of Taras Shevchenko National Prize, Academician of Ukrainian Academy of Arts, Professor, Candidate of Art History, The Hero of Ukraine – Myroslav Skoryk. Since 2007 the orchestra’s Chair of the Board, creative advisor and initiator of many projects and programs has been Iolanta Pryshlyak.
